Some thoughts from the artist:

The dramatic landscape of Iceland is incredibly inspiring. Iceland is often beautifully referred to as "the land of fire and ice". Attempting to capture its beauty and extreme terrain has recently been a challenge and a joy. This piece evokes a sense of wonder and expansion that is inescapable when exploring the landscape.

My greatest desire as an artist is to connect with my audience in such a way that they feel something when looking at my work. Key themes in my work, such as water, skies, and expansive landscapes, serve as metaphors for freedom, introspection, and the balance between strength and vulnerability. These elements resonate with universal themes of self-discovery, empowerment, and the human spirit’s capacity to grow and thrive. My hope is that my artwork invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys, fostering a sense of shared connection and hope.
