Some thoughts from the artist:

Creating this piece unlocked, or rather released, something inside me that has been (not-so-patiently) waiting for permission to soar. I feel so much joy, freedom and deep pride at what she brought out of my depths.

I expanded.
I trusted my gut.
I struggled with my fears, and won.

There is so much joy in the depths of me.
There is healing.
There is expansion.
There is curiosity.
There is flow and exhale.

This piece, and several others I have painted recently, feels like a letter written to my younger self. It speaks of a truth I wish I had known or believed.
